South Georgians participate in the Lake Seminole Fishermen For Hungry | Community Spirit

LAKE SEMINOLE, GA - News release from Fishermen For the Hungry

Terry Stevens from Marianna Florida and Clint Brown of Quincy Florida showed their knowledge of Lake Seminole by hauling in a tremendous catch of 26.86 lb for their five fish limit.

Included in their catch was the Big Fish for the day of 7.18 lbs. Their technique included use of Big Bite Baits Fighting Frog, Jigs, and Rat-L-Trap lures.

They noted their big fish was caught on the Fighting Frog. Their efforts were rewarded with a First Place check for $1000.00 and $300.00 for Big Fish.

Charlie Stevenson and Phil King of Albany Ga. took Second Place and a check for $500.00 with 20.82 lbs. They said they fished deep all day.

Third Place and a check for $400.00 went to Steve Stewart of Donalsonville Ga. and Johnny Creel of Jakin Ga. 

They brought 20.62 lbs in by fishing Carolina rigs, and crank baits all day.

Fourth Place and a check for $300.00 went to Clink Meeks of Plains Ga. and Al Cleghorn of Fitzgerald Ga. with a weight of 20.42 lbs. They fished paddle tail plastic worms all day.

Fifth Place and $200.00 went to Brad Hambric and Jason Smith of Leesburg Ga. with a weight of 20.08 lbs

Sixth Place and $100.00 went to David Mock and Todd Needley of Tallahassee Fl. with 15.76 lbs.

The conditions were fantastic.

The accommodations at Wingate’s were wonderful.

The pay-out for the day was $2,800.00.

Our fishermen brought in 77 fish with a total weight of 229.92 lbs for the day.

Our next event will be our MEGA BUCKS Bass Tournament on Lake Blackshear out of Veterans’ State Park Feb. 11th Sponsored by the Cordele-Crisp County Chamber of Commerce where we expect to pay $10,000.00 back to our participating fishermen.
