SGTC Foundation Scholarship gets big donation | Community Spirit

CRISP and SUMTER COUNTIES, GA - News release from South Georgia Technical College
The Magnolia District of the Garden Club of Georgia presented the South Georgia Technical College Foundation with a donation to provide three scholarships for students enrolled in the South Georgia Tech Environmental Horticulture Program recently.
Mrs. Faye Frazier, Director of the Magnolia District of the Garden Club of Georgia, presented SGTC President Sparky Reeves with the donation. SGTC Environmental Horticulture Instructor Mark Collier was also present at the check presentation.
“Mark Collier is great to work with and he has been so helpful to the Magnolia District of the Garden Club of Georgia as well as to the entire Sumter County Federation of Garden Clubs that we wanted to do something to benefit his students. We thought that a donation to the South Georgia Tech Environmental Horticulture scholarship fund would be appropriate.”
The different garden clubs in this area and from the Garden Club of Georgia has awarded six scholarships specifically for the Horticulture program over the past six years.

South Georgia Technical College is currently registering students for Summer Semester. Registration for Summer Semester is Tuesday, April 24th.Classes are scheduled to begin May 31st.
