American Pickers cancel Al Rodgers Auction appearance

OCILLA, GA - Due to a scheduling conflict, the popular reality television show American Pickers will not be going to Al Rodgers Auction and Vickie's Bargain Barn Saturday, January 7.

"A scheduling conflict has come up and the Pickers will not be coming to the auction tomorrow.  We're very sorry but sometimes things happen outside of our control.  If we hear any updates we will let you know," said Al and Vickie Rodgers

Marking his birth (Jan. 15) and held the third Monday in January each year; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is Jan. 16 in 2012.

American Pickers headed to Al Rodgers Auction and Vickie’s Bargain Barn

OCILLA, GA - The popular reality television series American Pickers is headed to Al Rodgers Auction and Vickie’s Bargain Barn in Ocilla, GA Saturday, January 7.

One of the owners Vickie Rodgers said the Fitzgerald-Ben Hill County Chamber of Commerce got in contact with a few representatives from American Pickers and that’s how it all started.

“The Fitzgerald Chamber of Commerce sent in a few pictures of our items and what we have and they liked it and said that they would like come to our auction,” said Rodgers.

AMERICUS, GA – The Lee County High School basketball team, will play in Americus-Sumter Christmas Tournament.

The tournament is in its second day and will be at Americus-Sumter High School.
