GOAL winner to speak at SGTC graduation ceremony | Schools

AMERICUS, GA – The spring graduation ceremony for the South Georgia Technical College will be Thursday, June 16 at 6 p.m. in the James S. Peters Gymnasium on the Americus campus.

Cordele native, Tim Rigsby, the winner of SGTC’s 2011 Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) will be the guest speaker.

South Georgia Technical College will be hosting its spring graduation exercise Thursday, June, 16th at 6 p.m. in the James S. Peters Gymnasium on the Americus campus.

Tim Rigsby of Cordele, SGTC’s 2011 Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) winner, is scheduled to be the guest speaker at the event.

The Welding and Joining Technology student from the SGTC Crisp County Center will address the graduates, fellow students, faculty and staff during the commencement ceremony.

A special reception for the graduates and their families will be held following the ceremony in the John M. Pope Industrial Technology Center.
