SGTC TechForce campaign gets $5,000 donation

CRISP and SUMTER COUNTIES, GA - During the 2011 TechForce annual fundraising campaign the South Georgia Technical College Foundation received a donation of $5,000 from the Sumter EMC Foundation, Inc.

The donation will go towards purchasing state of the art equipment for the college’s Energy and Transportation Center building.

The donation was presented by Greg Crowder, the Chairman of the Sumter EMC Foundation, and Dianne Varnum, the Secretary of the Sumter EMC Foundation.

Lady Jets to play Phoebe Sumter for charity

The South Georgia Technical College Lady Jets basketball team will be facing off against the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center All-Stars on Tuesday, October 25th at 7 p.m. in the South Georgia Technical College gymnasium in a contest with no losers.

This is the second time that the Lady Jets will be facing an All-Star team from Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, but it will be the sixth annual Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Basketball game.

CRISP and SUMTER COUNTIES, GA – South Georgia Technical College Jets and Lady Jets basketball players volunteered at the Junior Service League with their annual Cowpoke Carnival.
